Your mediator is a neutral facilitator, guiding you with down to earth analysis of what lies behind your dispute, in joint pursuit of a resolution.

The process involves discussions mainly conducted in separate rooms between each party individually and the mediator, with joint sessions as the mediator considers it helpful.

In the current crisis and beyond, Mediation can be handled online via Zoom fully under the control of the qualified mediator. Separate rooms are replaced by totally private  breakout rooms on Zoom and privacy is ensured.

Anything which you tell the mediator is in total confidence and will not be mentioned to the other party. Information only crosses the divide if, as and when it is specifically authorised by you.

The mediator is neither judge nor arbitrator and neither expresses an opinion on the issues nor advises in any way on the case.

The success rate of mediations generally shows that this flexible and informal process assists parties to see their dispute from a broader perspective and to avoid all the downsides of continuing to fight in court.

Neither side is a loser as both sides are

entirely free not to agree – but they usually do.
